The AI explains. The sources show.

Explain it simply and Deep study are written by AI: Claude, made by Anthropic. Every answer is labeled as AI and cites Scripture, and answers are written to name the views where Christian traditions read a verse differently.

Lamp asks before the first answer. If you allow it, only the verse reference, the study mode and your translation go to Lamp's server. Nothing about you is sent.

Original words come from STEPBible and cross references from OpenBible.info. Both work offline, with no AI at all. 3 AI answers a day are free, and Premium makes them unlimited.

Questions

Is Lamp really free?

Yes. Every book of the Bible, in all three translations, is free to read in Lamp, always, with no ads. Lamp Premium is optional. It adds unlimited study answers, every reading plan, the devotional archive and more card and widget styles.

Which translations does Lamp have?

The Berean Standard Bible (BSB), the King James Version (KJV) and the World English Bible (WEB). Tap the translation at the top of the feed to switch, and Lamp keeps the same verse in view.

Does Lamp work offline?

Yes, for reading. The whole Bible, search, your saved verses, original words and cross references live on your iPhone. AI study answers need a connection.

Who writes the study answers?

Explain it simply and Deep study are written by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Every answer is labeled as AI and cites Scripture. Answers are written to follow historic, non-denominational Christian teaching, and where traditions differ, they say so and name the views. AI can be wrong, so check every answer against Scripture, and tap Report a problem under any answer that seems off.

What does Lamp send when I ask for an answer?

Lamp asks first. If you allow it, the app sends Lamp's server only the verse reference, the study mode and your translation. The server sends Anthropic the text of that verse and the verses around it, and nothing about you. You can turn AI explanations off in Settings at any time.

How do I cancel Premium?
